The GOLDENEYES answered with a decisive second period, piling up six goals to take control, led by Chloe Daigle’s five-goal performance and a big all-around game from Elianne Poirier (two goals). Ruby Kelly scored Excel’s lone second-period reply, with Elena MacPhee in on two goals for EXCEL (0-1-0). Anabelle Girouard added two goals as the GOLDENEYES (2-0-0) pulled away in the third.

POWNAL SPORTS CENTRE STADIUM (GOLD MEDAL GAME) — The GOLDENEYES and VICTOIRE traded chances in a tight gold medal game that needed overtime to decide it. Chloé Daigle opened the scoring before Anabelle Sherwood answered late in the first for Victoire, set up by Emma Fenton and Zoé McNeil. Victoire pulled ahead at the end of the second when Fenton finished a Kailey Gaudet feed, but Elianne Poirier tied it early in the third to force extras. In the second overtime, Sara-Maude Blanchard ended it at 00:34 with Poirier picking up the assist. The Victoire (1-1-0) pushed hard but it was the Goldeneyes (2-0-0) earned the overtime win. MONTAGUE — Victoire built a 2-0 lead in the opening period and never looked back in a 6-0 win over the Central Gales. Arianne Doucet opened the scoring at 11:03, and Viviane Boudreau added a late marker before the break, then struck again in the second as Victoire pushed the pace with three more goals. Taylyn Sanipass-Sock (1G, 2A) and Aria Landry (1G, 2A) drove the offence, while Myla Daigle also found the net. The Central Gales (0-3-1) stayed determined through a tough defensive test as Victoire (3-2-0) finished strong.

Victoire pushed back in the second when Penelope Leonard-Hopkins finished an unassisted effort at 10:53 to pull within one and keep the game tight the rest of the way. The 1-0 edge held through a tight second period, with both teams keeping the game within reach. Frost finally broke through at 6:51 of the third when Lauren Gilliss scored unassisted to tie it. The Charge (0-2-2) generated the early push, but Gilliss’ late response secured a 1-1 finish for Frost (0-2-2).
